The Center for Public Integrity has tapped Maya Srikrishnan as an investigative reporter. She begins Mar. 14. Recently, Srikrishnan served as associate editor for civic education at the Voice of San Diego. There, she had previously held other roles, including land use and housing reporter, education reporter, and border and immigration reporter.
She has also worked on the national desk at the Los Angeles Times and was on the digital politics team at ABC News.
“Maya’s deep expertise, tenacious reporting and innovative efforts to listen closely to the communities she covers are a perfect fit for a newsroom focused on inequality,” said Jamie Smith Hopkins, editor at Public Integrity, who leads the reporting team Srikrishnan will join. “I can’t wait to see the projects she’ll tackle.”
