Debadrita Sur will join The Buffalo News as a general assignment reporter in September.
Recently, Sur was a news intern at uInterview.com, which produces celebrity, athlete and political content. There she wrote news pieces for the entertainment and politics sections.
She was also elected as the film and documentary coordinator for the Society of Professional Journalists Columbia chapter for the class of 2023. She was also a film columnist at Far Out Magazine, where she wrote articles about breaking news, features, film reviews and opinions.
Sur has a B.A. in English literature from Presidency University in India and a M.S. in journalism from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
