Blakinger to cover crime for LA Times

Keri Blakinger

The Los Angeles Times has hired Keri Blakinger to cover the LA Sheriff’s department, jail and related news. Blakinger begins next month.

Blakinger reported for The Marshall project and covered criminal justice, focused on death row and prisons at the Houston Chronicle. She was a breaking news reporter at the New York Daily News and a web editor at The Ithaca Times.

Blakinger graduated from Cornell University.
