Bishari joins San Francisco Chronicle as columnist/editorial writer

Nuala Bishari

Nuala Bishari has joined the San Francisco Chronicle as a columnist and editorial writer. Recently, she had been working part-time as a news reporter at the San Francisco Public Press.

From April 2021 to April 2022, she was a local reporting fellow at ProPublica, where she conducted a year-long investigation into issues of homelessness in San Francisco, in partnership with ProPublica and the San Francisco Public Press.

Bishari has also worked freelance and was a news editor at SF Weekly. She has also written for the San Francisco Examiner.

Bishari has a B.A. from Hampshire College.
