Belton joins Politico as supervising news editor

Beth Belton

Politico has hired Beth Belton as supervising news editor on its policy teams. She joins from WCG Market Intelligence and Insights, where she was content director.

Previously, Belton was managing editor of Exiger in Silver Spring, Md. She was also deputy money editor, USAToday.com and senior editor, Page One Team at USA Today.

She also held editorial roles at Kiplinger Washington Editors, the Associated Press, Bloomberg Businessweek and Tribune Chronicle.

Belton has a B.S. in journalism from Kent State University.
