BBC Radio journalist Smith to depart

George Smith

George Smith, a presenter and producer at BBC Local Radio, will depart in September. He wrote on Twitter:

“I’ve decided to make a BIG LIFE MOVE to the south coast, to match my work and personal life up. So if youre in Southampton area/remote and need an audio producer-my DMs are open!”

Smith has been with the BBC for seven years, where he freelanced for the BBC Sounds team. He was also a program producer at a local BBC Radio Station and freelanced as a station sound producer.

Smith has a B.A. from the University of Hull.
