AP’s Miller appointed Pulitzer Prize administrator

Marjorie Miller

The Associated Press vice president and global enterprise editor Marjorie Miller has been named the new administrator if the Pulitzer Prizes.

Her new role begins on April 11.

Miller joined the Associated Press in 2010 as the regional editor of Latin America and Caribbean.  In 2015, she moved to New York and helped oversee daily news coverage and enterprise. Miller then became the founding leader of AP’s Global Enterprise team.

She has previously spent 27 years at the Los Angeles Times, where she has served as Mexico City bureau chief, Jerusalem bureau chief, London bureau chief and foreign editor.

Lee C. Bollinger, president of Columbia University, which hosts the prestigious journalism awards, said:

“I cannot think of a better steward for the Pulitzer Prizes, which celebrate excellence in journalism, arts, and letters and recognize the powerful, public service role they play in promoting tolerance, advancing the search for truth, and protecting the free exchange of information and ideas.”
