AP taps Barrett for digital content and audience growth

Amanda Barrett

Amanda Barrett, deputy managing editor at The Associated Press, has taken on a broader responsibility for digital content and efforts to grow audience.

This new role will be in addition to her responsibilities involving the Nerve Center, News staff diversity, and inclusive storytelling. Barrett has been with the AP for more than 13 years.

She has held various roles, including content coordinator, deputy East editor, New York City news editor, and enterprise planning and administration manager. She was also an editor at Newsday and a senior manager at NYNewsday.com.

Barrett is a graduate of Queen’s College.
