Gray Television has appointed Debra Alfarone as an anchor for Local News Live, Gray Television’s 24/7 streaming news network, and as a national correspondent for its stations.
“In her new role, Alfarone will provide daily news updates on Local News Live, which offers live news coverage from Gray’s 113 markets on one OTT platform. She will also lead the streaming channel’s special programming and live events coverage,” as per FTV Live.
An Edward R. Murrow award winner, Alfarone was recently a TV news correspondent at CBS News, where she covered the White House, the U.S. Capitol and other stories originating from Washington, D.C.
She was an anchor and reporter at WUSA-TV Ch. 9, a D.C. CBS affiliate, and a general assignment reporter at WPIX-TV Ch. 11 in New York.
Alfarone graduated from Stony Brook University.
