The following excerpt was sent out from The Washington Post’s director of audio Renita Jablonski, “Post Reports” senior producer Maggie Penman and supervising senior producer Reena Flores:
We’re delighted to announce that Eliza Dennis is joining The Washington Post as an audio producer on the Post Reports team. Eliza is known as a steady hand on deadline with an ear attuned to the voices and sounds that humanize a story.
Eliza developed those skills at NPR, where she has spent the past few years as a producer of “Weekend All Things Considered” and the afternoon news podcast “Consider This.”
Eliza’s portfolio also included managing movie coverage for “Weekend All Things Considered.”
Eliza won a National Press Club award for breaking news for coverage of the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting in 2018. Her move to journalism started after a career in nonprofit arts management.
She graduated from Carleton College with a bachelor’s degree in studio art.
Please welcome Eliza, who starts on Monday.
