Shayla Love, a senior staff writer at Vice, has left after five years to go freelance. Love’s tweet reads:
“I will be freelancing again, so starting in October I’ll be open for assignments. I’m going to continue to write idea-driven, nuanced features about science, health, history, philosophy, culture and, yes, psychedelics.
“I’d love to hear from you if you’re commissioning these types of stories! I have a ton of ideas and am always delighted to talk through what topics I’m currently fascinated about (aka fixated on). The new way to reach me will be: shaylalovewrites@gmail.com.”
Previously, she interned at STAT News, The Washington Post, Harper’s Magazine and Gothamist.com.
Love has a bachelor’s degree from New York University and a master’s degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
