Rachel Cheung has joined Vice as a staff writer covering the Greater China region, including Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Cheung previously freelanced, covering culture, society and politics in Hong Kong. Her work has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, The Nation, Quartz, Nikkei Asian Review, Columbia Journalism Review, Al Jazeera English, The Telegraph and The Hong Kong Free Press.
She formerly worked as a culture and lifestyle reporter at the South China Morning Post.
Cheung graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
