The New York Times has hired Enjoli Liston as a senior reporter on its Live team in London. Liston has spent the past four years as deputy head of U.S. news at The Guardian.
She will join the Times next month.
She held other roles at The Guardian, including U.S. 2020 elections editor, deputy international news editor, assistant editor and deputy editor for World Networks, a role in which she launched and managed new verticals for coverage from Africa, the former Soviet states and North Korea.
She worked as a desk manager for international news, assistant international news editor and deputy world news editor at The Independent. She worked freelance for Archant and IPC Media.
Liston has a B.A. in English from the University of Southampton and a master’s degree in journalism from Goldsmiths, University of London.
