Wired executive editor Brian Barrett shared the following announcement on Monday:
Hi all,
I’m thrilled to share that Kylie Robison will be joining us as a senior correspondent.
In this role, Kylie will be covering the business of AI—what goes on inside the companies shaping the biggest story in tech. In the coming months, she’ll be launching a newsletter focused on scoops and exclusive reporting around OpenAI, xAI, Anthropic, and the other major players in the field. Her work will provide a perfect complement to Will Knight‘s ongoing focus on the future of AI, Kate Knibbs’s leading coverage of AI and copyright, and Reece Rogers‘s deft reporting on consumer applications.
Kylie comes to us from the Verge, where she covered Big Tech and AI on the business desk. (You likely saw her scoop last week about OpenAI building a social network.) She has previously worked at Fortune and Business Insider, where her investigative work exposed troubles at Peloton, chronicled the chaos inside X, and revealed the troubling finances at Humane AI.
Kylie will be reporting to Zoë Schiffer on the business desk. She’s based in San Francisco, and she starts on Monday, April 28. Please give her a warm welcome!
