NBC News has named Henry J. Gomez senior national political reporter. He recently served as a national politics reporter, covering the Midwest for NBC’s digital platform.
Prior to NBC, Gomez was also a political reporter at BuzzFeed News. He served as chief political reporter at Plain Dealer Publishing Co. and cleveland.com. Also in Cleveland, he held the posts of business, metro and investigative reporter at The Plain Dealer.
He formerly covered the advertising, retail and professional sports industries for Crain’s Cleveland Business and was an intern at The Sacramento Bee.
Gomez has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and political science from Youngstown State University in Ohio.
