WSJ hires Finnerty as deputy editor of live journalism

The Wall Street Journal has hired Katherine Finnerty as deputy editor of its live journalism events.

“Can’t wait to build on the team’s work and get cooking on our upcoming slate of incredible programming,” she wrote on Twitter.

Finnerty has been a senior producer at The Washington Post, where she has worked since April 2018. She also spent nearly two years at Reuters as a producer.

She also worked at the New York Times as a communications associate, where she assisted with development of PR plans for international, national and local conferences and events, from planning to execution for The New York Times, The New York Times Magazine, T Magazine, Luxury, DealBook and TimesTalks franchises.

She is a graduate of Smith College.
