Gian M. Volpicelli, a senior writer covering tech and society at Wired, will leave next month. Volpicelli’s tweet reads:
“It has been a hell of a ride, alongside the most ridiculously gifted crop of writers and editors I have ever rubbed shoulders with. Working with them was a joy and a privilege. (As for where I am going next— stay tuned. I’ll have more news soon.)”
Volpicelli joined Wired as a contributing editor in 2017 and then served as a senior editor. He worked freelance for Vice. He was a U.S. correspondent, columnist, book reviewer, London correspondent and editor at The Post Internazionale in Roma, Lazio.
He interned at The Center for Investigative Journalism.
Volpicelli has master’s degrees from Luiss Guido Carli University and City, University of London.
