The San Diego Union-Tribune has hired Forbes senior editor Sam Schulz to be its watchdog and government editor.
She will start July 11.
Schulz has been at Forbes for the past year. She previously worked at the Los Angeles Times, where she was the newsletter strategy editor, and was the lead in growing newsletters at Forbes.
Schulz joined the Los Angeles Times in 2019 from Bloomberg News, where she edited features, enterprise and newsletters and launched the company’s premium newsletters for digital subscribers.
Previously, she was a senior editor at Politico, focusing on state and local politics and policy, and at NBC.
