Axios technology reporter Margaret Harding McGill has joined the public affairs office at the National Telecommunications and Information Administration.
Previously, McGill worked at Politico. She has covered topics such as net neutrality, mergers and the growing antitrust scrutiny of tech companies. She won the Society for Advancing Business Editing and Writing Best in Business Award for her article on the barriers to broadband access on Native American lands, and she was the first reporter to break the news about the FCC’s plans for repealing the Obama-era net neutrality rules.
McGill previously covered law enforcement for the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review before joining Law360 as a senior telecommunications reporter.
She is a graduate of Michigan State University.
