Heard on the Street is a team in New York, London, Hong Kong and San Francisco that writes sophisticated, quick and sharp commentary on companies, markets and economies. We question conventional wisdom and dig deeply into the numbers to give readers deep insights into business and investing. We have exposed scams, highlighted flaws in corporate strategy and, occasionally, tilted at windmills.
Candidates should have strong financial and markets knowledge and be willing to take clear views on topics backed by solid reporting and analysis. Experience analyzing and presenting data is important, as is the ability to write concisely and quickly.
There will be opportunities to do long-form reporting either through a series of Heard columns or for other parts of the paper, including page 1. Heard on the Street columnists work closely with news reporters, adding their expertise and sourcing on big stories.
