We’re looking for an accomplished, versatile reporter looking to take their career to the next level in the Moscow bureau of The Wall Street Journal.
Minimum 5+ years of serious reporting experience, Russian fluency a must.
This role requires a spark for story ideas and a relentless work ethic. In addition to writing spot news, the reporter must be aspire to deliver lively Page One stories — and understand the unique storytelling formats of the Journal.
This is a chance to work in a fast-paced bureau covering one of the most rewarding, frustrating and challenging stories in the world: Putin’s Russia. Intellectual curiosity is a must, as is an allergy to cliche.
Candidate must have a collegial, collaborative style and be comfortable writing about all aspects of Russian society — its politics, economic and lifestyles — all in a way that’s accessible and entertaining to our readers.
