The ideal candidate will have experience in energy policy reporting and will be able to navigate his or her way around government agencies such the EPA and the Department of Energy, as well as Congress, and, occasionally, international groups formulating global accords.
Familiarity with key players, relevant agencies, and the government rule making process is important, as is the ability to write big-picture stories across other agencies as well to capture deregulatory trends across the government.
