WSJ seeks deputy editor, newsroom standards in Hong Kong

Wall Street JournalDeputy Editor, Newsroom Standards (International), is a senior position based in Hong Kong with primary responsibility for ensuring the reporting, editing and publication of news during the Asian business day and early in Europe meet our high Wall Street Journal/Dow Jones standards.

Specific duties include final reading of sensitive articles pre-publication as well as regional travel to help train on standards issues.

The position also involves helping resolve post-publication issues and working on a variety of standards projects originating all over the world.

The selected editor will work very closely with the standards/ethics team in New York and report to the Editor, Ethics and Standards. Candidates should have substantial and high-level editing experience and significant knowledge of Wall Street Journal/Dow Jones standards and procedures.

Work experience outside the U.S. is a plus.
