The Wall Street Journal is seeking a banking editor for its Money & Investing section.

The successful candidate will be steward of one the most important coverage area at the WSJ: Wall Street and the broader financial sector. The WSJ’s banking team covers the biggest issues in finance – from the impact of new global regulations on banking to trends in lending and the battle to fend off cyber hackers.

The banking editor will be responsible for managing a team of reporters and for guiding stories through to publication on all platforms. He or she must be able to adeptly edit and publish breaking news under real-time deadline pressure as well as guide long-form stories from conception to page one.

The successful applicant will also be a proven leader and team builder as well as an energetic self-starter.
