You will be expected to work closely with our aerospace- and airline-industry reporters in the U.S. and globally to deliver agenda-setting coverage as a team. The beat will also include coverage of the business of space within the big aerospace companies and at startups, as well as the future role of NASA.
You should have at least five years of reporting experience covering business, finance or regulation with a proven track record of agenda-setting beat work. Previous experience covering aerospace, aviation or space is welcome, but reporters eager to learn the beat quickly should also apply. We are also looking for someone who can think creatively about the best way to tell stories for our digital audience and who is eager to work on various forms of storytelling, including video, audio and interactives.
You will report to our Chicago Bureau Chief Joanna Chung. While you may start remotely, the job is based in Chicago with the aerospace and aviation team. To apply, please submit your resume, cover letter and up to five clips.
