The Wall Street Journal seeks an experienced journalist to join its U.S. news leadership team as Midwest bureau chief. The editor will run the Journal’s coverage across a broad swath of the country.

As bureau chief, you will identify high-impact stories and issues to cover.

Candidates must have the ability to spot memorable stories, be good managers and collaborators, and possess the ability to lead.

This job reports to the U.S. coverage chief.
