Wick Communications is looking for a managing editor to lead two local news publications in South Dakota.
In this position you’ll oversee all newsgathering for The Capital Journal in Pierre and The Daily Leader in Madison. Both are pillars of their communities, with roots dating back to the 1880s.
Today they have growing digital audiences and connect with readers through email newsletters, social media, mobile apps and regular print publications.
Successful candidates will have a history of producing quality journalism in both print and digital.
We’re looking for someone living in, or willing to relocate to, commuting distance of either Pierre or Madison (Sioux Falls.) This position will come with regular company-covered travel between the two.

The expected salary range for this position is $62,000 to $70,000.
