This is a high-level role that offers the opportunity to work with reporters based in Washington and Silicon Valley in producing outstanding journalism about the tech giants that dominate the economy as well as the perils and promise of technological development. The ideal candidate would be fast on breaking news, skilled in elevating enterprise, aggressive in pushing for scoops, and astute at developing online strategies that could attract a broad audience to our work.
Technology is an expanding area of coverage for The Post. Over the past year, our tech team has traveled as far as Argentina, China and Congo to reveal the human costs of the growing reliance on lithium ion batteries, prompting change at major corporations. Our continuing goal is to set the agenda on major technology issues, from the battles over the future of artificial intelligence and consumer technology to critical debates over privacy and cybersecurity.
Interested candidates with experience in the full range of journalistic tools – including short-form writing, narrative storytelling and investigative reporting – should email David Cho at david.cho@washpost.com; Zachary Goldfarb at Zachary.goldfarb@washpost.com; or Tracy Grant at tracy.grant@washpost.com by Aug. 11.
