Washington Post seeks tech breaking news reporter

The Washington Post is seeking a technology writer who will cover breaking news and write analysis about the biggest and most interesting tech stories.

This reporter, who will be based in our San Francisco bureau, will play a critical role in our strategy for aggressive and insightful coverage of technology. This person should use a variety of storytelling techniques – from straight news to quick analysis to the use of charts or FAQs – to engage our readers. The best candidates should be able to cover a variety of topics and have familiarity with the issues that underpin technology.

Interested candidates should send a resume, a cover letter outlining how they would approach the role and three clips (as pdfs) to David Cho David.Cho@washpost.com, Zachary Goldfarb Zachary.Goldfarb@washpost.com, Christina Passariello Christina.Passariello@washpost.com, or Tracy Grant Tracy.Grant@washpost.com by Jan. 10.
