Twin Cities Business seeks assistant web editor

Twin Cities Business is seeking a full-time Assistant Web Editor who has strong and proven writing skills and exceptional attention to detail to work on its award-winning e-newsletters, web site and print magazine.

The ideal candidate thrives while working under tight deadlines, is passionate about writing for both online and print, and is tech-savvy, having experience with social media, content management system (CMS), and other digital tools.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Possess a bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, or a related field
Strong writing and communication skills, including published work (ideal candidate will have written shorter news articles as well as longer, more researched stories)
Proven ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines
Web experience including CMS or blogging platforms and/or demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new technical skills
Experience interviewing subjects on diverse topics and a willingness to press sources for pertinent information
Self-motivated and comfortable working both independently and with a team

He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
