Job Description
Specifically, this reporter will cover the health care/life sciences and the higher education beats. In health care, the reporter will cover the area’s largest hospitals, life sciences companies (startups and publicly traded firms) that are in the forefront of research, innovation and commercialization. In the higher education beat, the reporter is expected to cover the big business-related issues coming out of prominent local universities such as Duke, UNC-Chapel Hill and North Carolina State University.
