The Steamboat Pilot & Today and Craig Press seek a versatile copy editor/page designer to join the newsroom team. The position requires traditional copy editing skills needed to prepare content for our website, digital editions and print products. Copy editors should be able to design pages, edit copy, write compelling headlines, work with editors and reporters and have a strong command of AP style. The right candidate will have an interest in community journalism and the ability to edit stories for clarity, accuracy, style and grammar on deadline. In addition, copy editors must maintain a positive attitude and a calm demeanor under deadline pressure. This position typically works Sundays through Thursdays with a nightly deadline at 9:30 p.m. MST.

Salary range: $41,500 ($19.95/hr)-$51,000(24.52/hr) DOE
