The Intercept is looking for a dynamic editor to join its senior editorial leadership team.
In this role, you will work with staff reporters and freelancers on in-depth investigations, as well as news stories and opinion pieces in response to unfolding events.
RESPONSIBILITIES and REQUIREMENTS:
- 10 years of journalistic experience, including editing experience
- Track record of publishing groundbreaking journalism
- Compelling editorial vision
- Ability to respond to breaking news events by conceptualizing high-impact investigative news
- Commitment to ensuring that The Intercept provides an outlet for a rich diversity of voices and viewpoints
- Comfort editing opinion pieces
- Ability to respond to rapidly shifting priorities and demands
- Proficiency in creating engaging online content
- Keen attention to factual detail
