S&P Global seeks auto reporter

Responsibilities:

  • Write spot news coverage
  • Write feature-length and longform data-driven stories
  • Read through news releases, third-party reports and SEC filings
  • Cover conference calls with company executives
  • Attend conferences and events
  • Build relationships with sources, analysts and industry authorities

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or a related field.
  • Professional journalism experience.
  • Automotive industry reporting experience is preferred.
  • Fluency in English necessary, plus knowledge of at least one other major European language is desirable, but not essential

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
