The Savannah Morning News in Georgia is looking for a business writer to cover tourism, commercial and residential real estate, technology-related issues and whatever else comes along. We have two full-time business reporters and a business section six days a week plus a monthly business-to-business publication (BiS or Business in Savannah).
Its business coverage includes writing about the people behind the issues, happenings, etc., as well as the basic information, and these are considered key beats at the Savannah Morning News. It does multi-platform reporting and presentation, so skills with video and social media are an asset.
This is a community that also has a multi-platform economy ranging from the fourth busiest container port in the country to a continually growing tourism industry to an extensive manufacturing presence including Gulfstream’s business jet headquarters.
