Rochester Business Journal seeks associate editor

The Rochester Business Journal, a national-award-winning print weekly and online daily (RBJdaily.com), seeks a skilled editor with at least three years’ daily newspaper (or comparable) experience; knowledge of business is preferred.

Responsibilities include editing the newspaper’s weekly Special Report section and various supplements. Applicants must be meticulous and have strong language and organizational skills.

About the Rochester Business Journal: Rochester is a center of high technology and international trade, and RBJ is considered the leading source of local business news in the market. The newspaper has an influential, high-end readership (nearly 70 percent are business owners or top executives). If you want a highly structured, corporate environment, this is not the place for you.

Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
