Reuters is looking for an enterprising and competitive reporter to be part of its M&A and corporate finance team in New York.
The successful candidate will be breaking news on the biggest deals in the healthcare and industrial sectors. The job requires a reporter with a deep understanding of what drives companies to consider M&A and how deal makers operate. The role also calls for strong analytical skills and the ability to cultivate a broad range of sources, including investment bankers, lawyers, shareholders, corporate executives and board directors.
The M&A reporter is also expected to be tapping these sources to produce investigative stories on the inner workings of companies and how they interact with Wall Street.
Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, plus 5 years experience as a journalist
– At least 3 years experience of companies-related reporting, with M&A reporting experience a plus but not mandatory
– A strong track record of scoops and ability to write with flair
