Reuters seeks a newsletters and notifications producer

With a portfolio of 18 newsletters and hundreds of thousands of subscribers, Reuters has a growing audience of readers finding our journalism in their inboxes.

The Newsletter & Notification Producer will be responsible for contributing to the development of the Reuters.com newsletter portfolio, by providing regular reports and deep dives into newsletter analytics. The Newsletter Producer – which sits within the Audience team – will also work on giving newsletter guidance to authors and editors.

This Audience Producer role will also support Reuters with its notifications strategy for the Reuters News mobile app, working collaboratively with teams to find ways to understand, and engage with our readers through push alerts.

The relationship we have with our readers is of paramount importance. These platforms are an effective way we have to interact with our readers. We’re looking for someone that understands the potential of these platforms and the nuance of getting the most out of them

This role is advertised in London, UK. We’re also open to applications to work in other countries in Europe where we have a hub/presence (such as Spain, Poland, etc.).

About the Role

In this opportunity as Audience Producer, Newsletters & Notifications, you will:

  • Analyze relevant data and metrics of newsletters on a regular basis and create reports to inform Reuters’ newsletter and subscriptions strategy
  • Help develop our newsletter portfolio in line with the Reuters.com audience strategy
  • Monitor newsletter list growth and development to meet our growth goals
  • Assist in tasks like editing newsletter templates, maintaining an editorial calendar, developing and analyzing reader surveys and engagement modules
  • Occasionally write our flagship newsletter, the Reuters Daily Briefing
  • Work across teams to analyse our notifications (push alert) data, identify any learnings, and help implement best practices for push alerts.

About You

You’re a fit for the role of Audience Producer, Newsletters & Notifications if your background includes:

  • 3 years of practical experience in digital media preferred
  • Experience analyzing and contextualizing audience data and metrics
  • Interest in working in cross-functional teams, including Editorial, Sales, and Product
  • Strong writing and editing skills in English (native language not required)
  • Strong interpersonal skills paired with the ability to work independently, especially in a hybrid work setting across time zones
