Reuters is looking for a dynamic journalist with strong sourcing, great story ideas and a strong competitive streak to join our Beijing-based team as China energy correspondent.
The China energy correspondent will have keen understanding of the oil and gas industries and markets, and will break news and report and write agenda-setting stories that are of keen interest to professional and media clients.
As China energy correspondent, you will:
- Break news and write agenda-setting stories on oil, gas and renewables companies, markets and trade flows
- Identify trends and explain them to a global audience
- Use graphics and other story-telling elements to maximize the utility of stories
- Work closely with colleagues in China and globally to leverage the power of the Reuters network
To be China energy correspondent, you will:
- Have a track record of building sources and delivering scoops
- Be relentlessly competitive
- Have experience covering the energy sector or energy markets
- Be a team player, with strong communication skills
- Have Mandarin and English, with strong writing skills
