The Puget Sound Business Journal is seeking a design editor to be the liaison between the creative team and the editor in chief.
The design editor will develop the Journal’s approach to visual storytelling, working closely with editors, reporters and photographers to shape its biggest projects. He or she will also be responsible for ensuring that the publication has the resources necessary to meet deadlines. That includes custom publications and materials for Puget Sound Business Journal events.
This editor will oversee the design of the weekly paper, digital assets and branding materials. In addition, this person will contribute story ideas regularly, as well as a constant stream of ideas for stories already in the pipeline, particularly for special reports.
Among other duties, he or she will supervise photographers, graphic designers and manage production costs for freelance and contract labor.
