Philadelphia Inquirer seeks digital editor

The Philadelphia Inquirer is looking for a digital editor to help launch and foster a new version of Inquirer.com that will help audiences better understand the region.

DUTIES:

  • Work with editors and reporters on story assignments, story formats and publication plans
  • Write and workshop headlines for multiple platforms
  • Write and workshop push alerts and other outreach to targeted audiences
  • Train editors and reporters on best practices

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Have exceptional news judgment
  • Deeply analyze data to inform decisions on strategy and tactics
  • Understand existing and new audiences and how to reach them
  • Advocate for readers’ needs in the newsroom
