The Philadelphia Inquirer is looking for a digital editor to help launch and foster a new version of Inquirer.com that will help audiences better understand the region.
DUTIES:
- Work with editors and reporters on story assignments, story formats and publication plans
- Write and workshop headlines for multiple platforms
- Write and workshop push alerts and other outreach to targeted audiences
- Train editors and reporters on best practices
REQUIREMENTS:
- Have exceptional news judgment
- Deeply analyze data to inform decisions on strategy and tactics
- Understand existing and new audiences and how to reach them
- Advocate for readers’ needs in the newsroom
