Vermont Public Radio is currently hiring for a news fellow, Vermont edition internship and news editor.
News Fellow:
The company is looking for someone who has a passion for telling distinctive stories and amplifying community voices. In this role, you should be able to bring a life experience or background that contributes to a broader understanding of underrepresented communities and informs VPR’s news coverage.
Vermont Edition Internship:
Vermont Edition interns are responsible for learning about what goes into producing a daily talk show and developing the skills required for high-quality reporting and storytelling.
Interns will assist the Vermont Edition team in multiple aspects of their work on the program. This may include pitching and developing show topics, gathering audio, publishing web builds, engaging listeners over social media, and producing their own segments.
News Editor:
VPR is looking for a creative and thoughtful journalist who is excited about new ways to bring news content to broadcast and digital audiences. This is a key position that creates and edits VPR’s “All Things Considered” newscasts, interviews, and issues coverage.
