The New York Times is looking for an editor with feature editing and packaging skills to oversee the Sunday Business print section and related online coverage. Ideally this editor will have magazine experience and an understanding of how to use graphics in print and online.
The job requires experience crafting narratives, working on investigative stories and collaborating with multiple writers. Knowledge of business, economics and markets is a big plus, as is the ability to work on a weekly schedule.
Sunday Business runs stories by staffers and freelancers so a good Rolodex is also important. Flexibility is key. If you don’t feel comfortable ripping up a nearly done section to accommodate news, this position might not be for you.
