MLex Market seeks reporter in San Fran

International regulatory news service MLex Market Insight is seeking a full-time reporter/researcher to join its staff of experienced journalists in the San Francisco bureau.

Duties primarily include a high level of research and editorial support for reporters, along with office and administrative support, transcription and site database entry. The entry-level position is ideally suited for a conscientious self-starter who is interested in technology law, has excellent organizational skills and enjoys a fast-paced news setting.

Covering global class action litigation, legislation and regulatory enforcement, MLex focuses on privacy, data security, intellectual property and antitrust, as well as corporate online and ecommerce activity.

MLex, founded in 2005, provides exclusive online news and analysis for legal, investment and government professionals in the fields of antitrust, financial regulation, trade, patent law and technology regulation. The company, www.mlexmarketinsight.com, is an independent media organization with coverage that spans the world’s foremost regulators in the United States, Europe, Asia and Latin America.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
