MLex Market seeks DC reporters

International regulatory news service MLex Market Insight is seeking full-time reporters and researchers to join its staff of experienced journalists in its expanding Washington, DC bureau.

Anticorruption Reporter: The successful candidate will have significant experience covering bribery, fraud, money laundering and violations of the public trust. S/he will have a track record of getting scoops, providing a steady flow of breaking news and confirming information in a world of no comment.

Wide-ranging knowledge of regulatory agencies, financial systems, and US and international affairs is necessary. Excellent writing skills and ability to explain clearly and concisely how compliance news affects investors and legal professionals are required. The position will serve MLex’s forthcoming White Collar Compliance service.

Trade law reporter/researcher: Duties include coverage of legal proceedings such as those related to the Commerce Department, US Court of International Trade and the US International Trade Commission. Duties also would include obtaining and publishing trade-related statements and documents and updating case files with relevant documents, including court decisions.

The successful candidate will produce a steady flow of breaking news and analysis about action related to antidumping countervailing duties, export controls and enforcement. Experience covering trade law and policy is preferred but not required. Excellent writing skills are required, as well as the ability to explain clearly and concisely how trade issues affect investors and legal professionals.
