At MarketWatch, published by Dow Jones, our mission is to help readers understand what the news of the moment means for their money and their lives. This role will be based out of our San Francisco Office.

Essential job functions:

  • Ability to gracefully manage steady flow of daily copy
  • Collaborate with reporters and other team editors to sharpen angles and details
  • Ensure that MarketWatch journalism is accessible and free of jargon and PR-speak
  • Ability to help craft sharp and memorable headlines
  • Fluency in social media, and top-notch news judgment.

  • Minimum of four years experience at a consumer-facing publication
  • Working knowledge of business, economics, politics or technology ( bonus points if expertise in any of those)
