“Marketplace” seeks producer for morning show

October 19, 2017

Posted by Chris Roush

MarketplaceMarketplace is looking for a dynamic news hound for its Morning Report team. The Marketplace Morning Report Producer plays a key role in producing content that raises the economic intelligence of the country for more than 10.8 million morning listeners. The Producer is responsible for the production of 5 timely and informative national broadcasts, all with the unique Marketplace sound and style.

Working closely with host David Brancaccio, you’ll be the architect of the daily program, responsible for turning fresh spot news, quick-turn around live interviews, pre-recorded spots and digital content into cohesive, newsworthy programming. You’ll oversee all production during the morning hours, ensuring that the Morning Report has up to the second and forward looking coverage with Marketplace’s distinctive take on the latest business and economic news.

The Producer will also be considered one of the fill ins during the day for the Executive Producer (as needed) and participate in all creative aspects of the program.

Marketplace is one of the most dynamic multimedia brands in the country, known for an irreverent approach to business and economic news on multiple platforms. Our currency is good ideas. We value creativity and unorthodox thinking. And while we are serious about covering business and the economy the right way, we don’t take ourselves too seriously.
