Magazine, Forbes and the Wall Street Journal, we are a highly professional, award-winning and fast-growing company.
Daily Job Duties:
- Report and write about marijuana industry financing, investing, publicly traded companies and related topics for our daily website and magazine, with little oversight.
- Develop a deep understanding of what types of content our audience needs in this area, with a key focus on investors (angle, venture capitalists, family offices…NOT average stock investors) as well as companies that are trying to or have raised money.
- Build sources across the national and international cannabis investing world.
- Launch a new newsletter highlighting our financial coverage of the industry, likely on a weekly basis to start but perhaps moving to daily.
- Conceive of, research and write investing and finance-related reports, which could range from a 20-page report on how to raise money in this industry to a 100-page report for investors packed with useful data and analysis. You’ll work with our data analyst on existing reports and other content.
- Help develop conference content around finance and investing, both in the main sessions of our big events as well as for a pre-conference track and eventually a possible spin-off stand-alone event. This involves coming up with great session ideas and conference themes that appeal to targeted audiences and helping identify speakers for these sessions.
- Speak with the press about cannabis investing and finance-related topics, once you gain expertise in the field.
- Moderate panels/conference sessions and speak at our events.
