Julia-Grace Sanders has been hired as the business and agriculture reporter at the Skagit Valley Herald in Washington state.
Sanders graduated from the University of Washington in June 2017 with a major in journalism and a minor in human rights law. She also studied at Texas Christian University.
This past summer, Sanders interned at The Cambodia Daily in Phnom Penh. It’s one of only two independent, English dailies in the country.
Sanders worked for The Daily and the Washington student newspaper while in college as a reporter and as an editor.
She was also a research fellow at the Center for Communication, Difference and Equity at Washington.
